The first two of what are thought to be some of the worlds biggest railway level crossings have been recently installed near Ruwais on package 2A Etihad Rail phase 2 construction project. The rig crossings have been installed to facilitate giant ADNOC land based oil drilling rigs to cross the railway at designated controlled strategic crossings points on the new UAE railway network.
The rig crossings have been 2 years in the making with design collaboration required between JD Rail, WSP, Systra, ADNOC, Etihad Rail, Jacobs & package 2A contractor CSSK-JV
